METAPHILIC has started its journey on a bright day of 2002. Actually both the founder members Md. Golam Muktadir and Arpan Guha Thakurata are totally influenced by Bengali culture and most of all Bengali music. They are inspired by the Bengali rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and want to bring some revolution in the present society. Finally they formed the band and it is totally a Bengali band with Bengali essence in it is music. People who love Bengali music and want to hear different types of experimental Bengali music are our main audiences. As Bengali music has its own history and rhythm we also include some touch of western. So we called METAPHILIC as International Bengali Band. We are very much proud that Bengalis from all over the world are now in leading positions. We METAPHILIC also believe in universal music. It means music in various languages. Apart from Bengali we are also trying to make music of other languages. We are also into instrumental music which itself has a charm. It was not only the instincts that helped the Band grow but, few of us took hardcore lessons from Dhaka (Bangladesh) and Delhi (India) music society to be recognised as capable musicians. Band wants to prove hardcore originality in their tonal quality and their unique kind of music. The Band cannot be categorised in any specific genre. Now, it is a registered band by www.bandname.com (An international band name community). We do not believe so called traditionalism. But we never want to escape from Bengali tradition as it is the best in the world. Finally it is our dream to show ourselves by our music and nothing else.
